With our final draft of our poster we stuck with our original idea of having our two main characters on the bench. However instead of having the title next to the couple on the bench as intended we moved it to the bottom of the image because we felt like putting it beside the image would leave it too crowded. We felt like it would make more of an impact in a bigger font and in the middle of the page, this idea was also suggested to us by our audience when we asked for feedback, they also said it was more readable underneath the image rather than next to the bench.
Initially the size of our billing block was quite big and it didn’t look right on the poster, so after asking for audience feedback on it they suggested that it will be best if we resized the font so we took this advice on board and resized the font. After doing this we realised that it looked much better smaller and this gave a bit of space allowance for our tagline.
After deciding on the colour scheme for our magazine and the teaser trailer we decided to have the same for our poster so it would be easier for our audience to recognise that the three elements belong to the same film. Fonts used for ROM-COM are usually quite informal unlike the ones you get on thriller posters or horror; they have more serious fonts to reflect the genre of the film.
